The myth of the one-size-fits-all business model.

It doesn't always do the trick.

Old architecture and new architecture divided diagonally by a line.

The myth of the one-size-fits-all business model.

Have you ever heard of the subscription model? I bet you have.

In fact, you probably have over 5 subscriptions yourself.

It seems like the go-to business model as if nothing else ever existed.

However, the harsh truth is that it doesn't always work. Your business model has to make financial sense.

Why pay for a subscription model if you only use something once? (Yes, there are still products or services that you use only once.)

What if you will not use the product on a monthly basis? Does the subscription model still fit?

Or, what if your customer group is not financially fit enough to bear the costs of a monthly subscription fee for a longer time, but the opportunity is still massive?

Don't think the subscription model is the only model. There are so many other interesting business models out there that might be a better fit.
